PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Meet Brent Kellen, MPT, PhD
Brent is a native of the great state of Washington. He was born and raised in Bellingham and completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University. Upon graduation from Western, Brent received a commission to become an officer in the United States Navy and engage in the Army/Baylor Physical Therapy program. He subsequently received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Baylor University and worked as a Naval Physical Therapist in a variety of interesting settings, to include being Ship’s Physical Therapist aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72).
Following his carrier assignment, Brent was selected by the Navy Physical Therapy community to participate in full-time training for 3 years at the University of Virginia in order to complete a PhD with emphasis in kinesiology and sports medicine.
After 28 years of active service, Brent’s Navy career came to a close. Naturally, he and his wife, Shauna, decided to return to Washington in order to be near family and friends. They very much enjoy the Poulsbo community and all it has to offer.
